Greetings!
My name is Abida and I am the owner of the Red Lychee. I live in the bustling city of London, and when I’m not running around after the 24 kids I teach for a living, I can be found at home trying to discover new recipes. I’m also an avid admirer of all things crafty and occasionally like to try my hand at crocheting and scrapbooking.
The inspiration for the name of my blog comes from my Bangladeshi heritage where the lychee fruit grows in abundance. Many of the traditional recipes featured here come directly from my mother and I hope that one day I will be able to pass these recipes on to the next generation.
My blogging story begins at that exciting and uncertain period in life after university when many people are still trying to find their feet. I hope that you will join me on this journey as I try to document my culinary and creative experiments.

DeleteI did not know that lychees were so abundant in Bangladesh...learn something new everyday! And lucky you, I miss London everyday and think about moving back at least twice a day.
